Brad is a 2029 shortstop who also pitches in relief. He plays with a calm, quick tempo: clean exchanges, accurate throws on the run, and a short right-handed swing that uses the whole field.
He carries a 3.7 GPA, is a strong candidate for varsity as a freshman, and is looking for programs that value defense-first middle infielders. (Fictional example player for demonstration only.)
Funnels the ball to the middle and gets rid of it fast on routine and short-hop plays.
Strong first step to the hole and up the middle; finishes on the move.
Carry across the diamond with a repeatable release from multiple slots.
Quick feet around the bag on both sides of the double play.
Short, direct swing with gap-to-gap approach. Tracks spin well for his age and puts the ball in play with two strikes.
